Shirley M. (Parnay) Hoover (1935-2024)

Shirley (Parnay) Hoover, widow of Marvin E. “Bud” Hoover, passed away at Geisinger Medical Center on 27 March 2024. Recent falls had left her with a significant brain hemorrhage that, unfortunately, led to her death.

Shirley was born 28 October 1935 to George and Helen (Fishburn) Parnay. She married Bud at Hagerstown, Maryland on 10 January 1953. She is survived by her children: Marvin R. “Randy” Hoover, Peggy R. Hoover, Debra “Debbie” Hoover Hill, and Todd E. Hoover.

There will be a private burial at Advent Cemetery in Pine Glen. In lieu of flowers, you can make a contribution to the United Way of Centre County or Centre County PAWS in State College.
